Gwendolyne Krasnicki is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist from Montreal, Canada who began creating downtempo pop songs in 2011 under the name Galiya. Since then, she has used constant collaboration – through performances in various musical genres ranging from classical to folk pop to metal – to shape her new signature sound: ethereal trip-hop and chillout instrumental music. She recently released her second album, Introspective EP, in January 2025.

Professionally, Gwendolyne holds a Bachelor of Music (2014) from Université de Montréal, where she studied violin with Vladimir Landsman and participated in the university's baroque ensemble under the teachings of Margaret Little and Luc Beauséjour. She had previously studied violin with Sylvie Allaire. She is also trained on piano (with Ted Krasnicki and Jocelyne Lasalle), viola (with Sylvie Allaire) and classical voice (with Tamara Armstrong and Samara Garfinkle). She was a long time member of the Orchestre philharmonique des musiciens de Montréal (OPMEM) as principal violist.

Gwendolyne currently teaches private piano and violin lessons in Montreal while also regularly recording and performing with other artists, bands, composers and ensembles.

Gwendolyne is violinist for the Montreal band Uriel (metal). She sings alto voice with the Choeur Métropolitain (Orchestre Métropolitain's choir), and peforms weddings and events on violin and viola with SoulStation Orchestra.
